About Us
Bacon Ridge Rental Equipment and Bacon Ridge Canines & Quarter Horses are owned by Adam and Caitlin Bacon. We both grew up and currently live in Sidney, Maine.

Adam Bacon has grown up around construction equipment his entire life, thanks to his father’s excavation business, Bryan Bacon Construction. He currently works for the family business, utilizing a large fleet of equipment from excavators to skidsteers, and everything in between. Since a young age, Adam has had a fascination of these grand machines, and knew he wanted to own his own fleet one day. After the first purchase of the 60 ft. boom lift in 2018, Adam found there were many business owners, contractors, and friends who wanted to use the lift, and therefore, Bacon Ridge Rentals was born!
Caitlin Bacon has always had a love for animals since a young age. Her family always had golden retrievers, and a cat that occupied the basement of their lakeside home. At the age of 9, Cait attended a Girl Scout camp at a local equine facility known as Ballard Farms, and she was instantly bit by the horse “bug”. She started showing Quarter Horses on the American Quarter Horse Association circuit soon after, and the love of showing Quarter Horses has never left her. She went on to win many state and regional championships as a Youth, and then traveled with her trainer to Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Ohio, where she got a taste of the true Quarter Horse world. After earning an IBHA World Reserve Championship title, Top 5 Championship title at the NSBA World Show, and Finalists at the All American Quarter Horse Congress, Cait knew she wanted to obtain a small herd of broodmares so she could contribute to this world she loved so much! in 2014, Adam and Cait bought a yearling QH mare by the name of Indefinately Classy, aka ‘Gracie’, in hopes to breed her when she got older.

When Cait and Adam connected the summer of 2011, there were instant sparks and a common interest is animals. They both brought a dog to the relationship, Kati Lulu, a Beagle/Plot mix, and Brody Bear, a purebred Golden Retriever. Adam had taught Kati Lulu how to hunt rabbits as a pup, and knew he wanted to obtain another hunting dog when she passed of old age. When that sad day came, Adam and Cait purchased two beagles, a brother and sister by the names of Rucker & Kyla. Then, on a Christmas spirit whim, they bought a female husky pup named Luna. When we realized we had two amazing females, we agreed that breeding these pups as a hobby would be a fun idea. With the addition of our mare and the female dogs, Bacon Ridge Canines & Quarter Horses was established!
